Talk about toys made of Diecast.
What is Diecast?
It is a product by the process called die casting in which molten metal under high pressure is forced into mold cavities. The metal used is called Zamak, an alloy composed of zinc and aluminum.
Sometime in the late 80's there's an animated series called "Bionic Six" the action figures were advertised to have diecast parts. Toy advertisements back then were so cool and convincing! This is the first time I encountered the word "Diecast". Before that I didn't even know that my Hotwheelz and Matchbox cars were made of diecast metal, I simply knew them as being made of metal and enjoyed playing with them due to their durability and heft.
