I love video games and it has always been my passion aside from collecting toys or buying new gadgets.
My first console was Nintendo's Family Computer also known as the NES or Nintendo Entertainment System. I bought it during the late 80's with my hard earned lunch money combined with selling my used toys to my classmates.
The most amazing thing about it is that my neighbors could see me playing "Battle City" because their TV set could display it whenever they switch to an unused channel like channel 3 (in my country). They thought it was a new channel running a test broadcast! What made it possible is that back then, video games use RF switches to hook up with the TV. The signal from the RF+antenna somehow gets transmitted to nearby TV sets!
Then in 1990 my sister got me my first Game Boy, also referred to as the "Brick" due to its size and shape. It was a very neat gadget back then and it provided hours of enjoyment. My favorite game for it was Super Mario Land and Tetris.
It has been 20 years and those were the days. Things were very simple and a lot of new things easily brings amazement. Now people don't need to buy video games, as long as you have a PC and the internet there's fun waiting to be discovered and experienced.
